New Delhi: Delhi government today observed the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in the form of Rastriya Ekta Diwas(National unity day). Chief Minister Delhi, Shri Arvind Kejriwal, on this occasion administered pledge of Rastriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) to the officers and officials at Delhi Secretariat.
Principal Secretaries, Secretaries, HODs, Heads of the Autonomous Bodies & Undertakings/ Corporations and the employees of Government took pledge of the National Unity/ Integrity & Security of the nation. Shri Kejriwal administered the following pledge to the officers and employees, which was followed by them :-
“I solemnly pledge that I dedicate myself to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the nation and also strive hard to spread this message among my fellow countrymen, I take this pledge in the spirit of unification of my country which was made possible by the vision and actions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. I also solemnly resolve to make my own contribution to ensure internal security of my country”.
