First Meeting of National Committee on Energy Conservation in Buildings Held Under BEE DG Chairmanship
BHL News : The First Meeting of the National Committee on Energy Conservation in Building was convened on 18 December 2025 under the chairmanship of the Director General, BEE. The meeting brought together senior representatives from MoEFCC, MoHUA, CPWD, BIS, NIUA, the Council of Architecture (CoA), NAREDCO, and State Designated Agencies of Kerala, Haryana, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra. The meeting was also attended by the DDG, BEE, with Dr. Achal Mittal, Emeritus Scientist, CBRI, Roorkee, participating as the external expert.
Ms. P. Samal, Director, BEE, made a detailed presentation on the Energy Conservation & Sustainable Building Code (ECSBC) and apprised members of ongoing initiatives of BEE. Valuable insights were shared by Committee Members about the effective implementation of ECSBC across India.
